Z-Xtreme materials from Zebra offer heat, chemical and solvent resistance for Labelling in challenging envirobments - Laboratory applications such as slide labelling, Automotive applications such as engine component labelling and Electronic applications such as PCB labelling. Z-Xtreme labels offer UL recognised and CSA accepted for indoor and out door labelling when matched with a Zebra approved ribbon, complies with UID test requirements when printed with Zebra's Image Lock ribbons, meeting industry challenging standards.
LABORATORIES
The importance of using labels with a “strong durability and resistance” when utilised in the laboratory is a critical component of your patient safety system. If the label becomes unreadable, unscannable or falls off during testing, it can cause a sample identification error that could lead to an adverse event, re-testing, redraws and additional treatment. The Zebra® Z-Xtreme™ 5000T, coupled with Zebra’s Image Lock™ ribbon, was designed to withstand most common stains and chemicals found in laboratories—ensuring that the label does not discolour and the text and bar code remain readable and scannable during the label’s useful life.
Laboratory Labelling -
- Slide labelling - resisting harsh chemicals and chemical exposure.
- Autoclave process - resisting heat temperature and steam exposure.
- Clinical trials - resisting solvents and detergents
AUTOMOTIVE
Due to the various environmental and harsh chemical elements the automotive industry has to deal with, it's essential to consider the types of labels for the intended use. For instance, labels used on the body of a car or inside the engine bay will require some form of heat, chemical and abrasion-resistance. The Zebra® Z-Xtreme™ 5000T, coupled with Zebra’s Image Lock™ ribbon, was designed to withstand heat, abrasion, and common harsh chemicals such as Gasoline, Engine Coolant, Motor Oil, Transmission fluid, Grease, Denatured Alcohol, Acetone, Xylene and many other harsh chemicals the automobile industry is challenged with.
Automotive Labelling -
- Component labelling - resisting harsh chemicals and heat exposure.
- Cable markers - resisting harsh chemicals and environmental conditions.
- Car rating plates - resisting solvents, harsh chemicals and environmental conditions.
ELECTRONICS
With the mandatory requirment of using compliance labels on White Goods and some Brown Goods, Zebra® Z-Xtreme™ 4000T together with Zebra® 3200 wax/resin ribbon meet UL/cUL indoor/outdoor recognition and CSA indoor/outdoor recognition. Can also withstand applications requiring 2 years outdoors. With its strong chemical and high temperature resistance, Zebra® Z-Xtreme™ 4000T can be used for the topside of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) for identification purposes and traceability through the manufacturing process.
